As one of the finest teams in baseball history, the Los Angeles (née Brooklyn) Dodgers have enjoyed many great successes since their founding in 1883, but none more storied than the years 1955-1988. Known as the Championship Years, this 33-year span netted the Dodgers eleven National League pennants, six World Series championships, and some of baseball's most legendary players: Pee Wee Reese, Duke Snider, Jackie Robinson, Roy Campanella, Sandy Koufax, Maury Wills, Don Drysdale, Tommy Lasorda, Steve Garvey, Fernando Valenzuela, Orel Hershsier, and Kirk Gibson. This thrilling documentary (named after Lasorda's famous remark that he bleeds "Dodger blue") traces the team's remarkable history throughout these magical years--from the "Boys of Summer" triumph over the New York Yankees in 1955 to the record-breaking achievements of the 1960s and '80s--through voice-over narration, archival footage, interviews with former players, and clips of the most memorable Dodgers games.

    If You Got theDodger Blues.........

    It is a nice brief documentary of Dodger baseball. I enjoyed all of the older Dodger history, but when the Dodgers got to LA....it was way too brief. This was when the Dodgers were the DODGERS!!! They could have spent more time and I am sure they had plenty of film to use......after it is Hollywood.

    dvd documentary

    It has everything, from the famous Kirk Gibson homerun to Tommy Lasorda's Hall of Fame speech. I would recommend it to any die hard fan who bleeds dodger blue

    If you're a long time Dodger fan, this DVD is a must! Excellent and to the point covering highs for the Dodger franchise! Well worth the cost!
