I was super impressed with how quickly they responded to my DVD and send it out. It arrived in a well packaged plastic wrapped envelope which protected it well. The seller was great at providing immediate communication and a personalized note. The double DVD'S were in excellent condition (taped down plus bubble wrap inside preventing movement) and so was the DVD case and cover. Thanks so much! I would order from them again!

    Too Soft

The film was engaging...the players were excellent...but it dragged a bit and had a cutesy ending....It is also in 3 parts....so you have to change dvd disks....in all a good but not great film....bacically it was good vs evil....light vs dark.

  • The Wizard of Oz Meets Star Wars

Tin Man is a sci-fi version of Frank Baum's "Wizard of Oz". In this futuristic version, DG, as our heroine (Zooey Deschanel) finds herself in the O.Z. (Outer Zone), a kind of parallel universe. Chased by "long coats" (think the guardsman in the original Wizard of Oz) she meets up with Glitch (Alan Cumming in the Scarecrow role), Wyatt Cain (Neal McDonough in the Tin Man role; with the play being on the "tin" a sheriff wears), and Raw (Raoul Trujillo as the Cowardly Lion). These characters, together with the Mystic Man (Richard Dreyfuss as the Wizard of Oz) and Toto (DG's babyish name for her childhood tutor) strive to recover DG's lost memories and to find the Great Gale and location of a special emerald. The emerald is also pursued by DG's evil sister, Azkadellia, who wants to use the ...

  • Good series, bad DVD

I'm giving this product a rating of good, because I liked the miniseries very much when watching it on SyFy, and there's no reason I won't like watching it again. My beef is with the manufacturing of the DVD itself. Tin Man is a 2008 miniseries, and the DVD has no options or support of any kind of subtitles/close captioning. Even using the settings in Windows Media Player/Center for subtitles whenever available, there is no subtitles or close captioning when watching the DVD. I have poor recognition of high-pitched sounds and have great difficulty following a movie in the theater because I mishear the exact pronunciation of words. That's why I watch them on DVD in the first place. I was looking forward to enjoying an old favorite... and the very reason I picked it up on DVD, for ...

  • the best of oz

well for starters this aint no sissy oz tale. not to say that frank baums imagery is childlike but, the movie industries made the wizard of oz saga seem kind of tame. this movie takes all of the elemnts of the original story that make it great and give it a more technological and new century feel. the tin man has no heart but not in a literal sense. his heart was taken away because he thinks his family is dead. all he wants is revenge. the scarecrow aka glitch lost his brain via something akin to a lobotomy. a real genius with half of his brain gone he glitches constantly but still catches things the other charchters miss. toto (tutor) is really dorothys friend even before his spying job. he is trying to show her who she really is. rawr aka the cowardly lion is only afraid because he sees ...

  • Tin Man

I have always wanted to watch this adaption of the original Wizard of Oz. I was never a fan of the original but thought that this version held a bit more of the types of aspects that I like in a series. I really liked how they did this series. I loved the images and the locations used for filming. The actors were great and really meshed well together. My favorite character has to be Wyatt Cain for all that the man went through he still remained noble. There really isn't anything about it that I don't like execept for how they ended it. I really wish they would have done more dealing with the future of the OZ and DG's dealings with becoming queen, but that is just me.
