A perfect handycam for seeking out spirits.Take pics while shooting video!
The Sony HDR-SR5 handycam 40 GB nightshot videocamera is a great paranormal investigation tool.It allows you to capture still images while recording video.It also gives you 5 full hours of video on the highest quality setting.Theres a Memory stick Pro Duo slot for additional memory,which I use to store the still pictures I take,allowing the full hard drive space available for my video.The hot shoe adapter can accomodate a zoom or shotgun mic or a number of different lights.I personally don't have a docking station yet,but I know it makes PC connection and charging possible simultaneously.I just use a USB attachment or sometimes I like to review my footage on my flatscreen HDTV,which looks great,of course.This handycam is a little heavier than most,but thats the weight of the hard ... Buy this camcorder in good used condition-it's a deal!
This HDR-SR5 with 40GB is really a quality camcorder still at 3yrs old in used condition. The night vision is great for anyone into paranormal or "Looking for Bigfoot". Do buy a larger battery though and for expanded, better night viewing, buy a separate IR led light. ( This cam works awesome with these wave lengths! Yes, 100ft and still visible to a lesser degree!) Do your own editing on the cam itself and take the pro memory stick into walmart. You can go to the Sony web site for handbooks and software if not included. E-bay is safe. Amazon, or etc., is not for used electronics!!!IThis HDR-SR5 with 40GB is really a quality camcorder still at 3yrs old in used condition. Great investment
I purchased this item for use in my paranormal group. I needed a night vision camera. It lived up to it's name. Plus the added wide lens and all the attachments make it easy to film our investigations. The battery life is fantastic, plus it came with 2 batteries. It has a good mic and great steady shot. Any Ghost Hunters out there, I would pic one of these up ASAP.

Great Value
I had one of these that I had used for 5 years that I accidentally damaged. While looking for a replacement I found no better value for the money. Fortunately I was able to purchase this used one very reasonably. My old one still works if I treat it gingerly so now I can capture two angles from matching cameras.
