Redundant, lengthy, simplistic
I liked the book because it had easy to follow step by step instructions. this book gives easy examples of how to make simple changes with and without major reconstruction of your landscape. It is easily done, if there is funding for the remodle of your yard, but variations on materials is helpful with a budget. A drawback of this book is that the technical information/language, is hard to understand on some levels of what the book is recomending. The base knowledge is one of highschool and above. A good number of people may find this book complecated to understand. there could be variations on the text that could help in comprehineding more of the book on some levels. I bought this book because I recengly moved to a new house, and there is a lacking in the landscaping. I ... Very good bargain. I have only glanced at the book but I can't wait to really read all the info and pictures. I would recommend this book for anyone planning a garden. It comes with logical layouts for trees, shrubs and flowers. I am wanting to start a garden in my backyard and I think it would be best if I have a plan drawn up. You can see on paper what the garden will look like before digging in the dirt. If a plan the complete way to plant before you start digging holes. I hope to read it as soon as possible and decide how large a spot needs to be before you start anything. I think this is just the book I needed to start planning my landscaping.
