Great Series!
I watched most of these episodes, and they were all engaging. I was surprised that there were no re-runs in TV. Mow I get to watch them at my leisure, and I love them. They are as fun to watch as they were before. Almost all of the characters have "quirks", which makes them even more watchable. A great series.

Quirky. Odd. Fun. Musical. Sometimes funny, sometimes thoughtful, but always surprising, I've always remembered this TV series with a smile and it's nice to see it doesn't disappoint many years afterward. The music is toe-tapping, the premise is upbeat. Calista Flockhart is perfect in every way. Lucy Lu as the dragon-lady with the heart of gold is perfect. Portia de Rossi as Sub-Zero Nel is incredible, but so is every other member of the cast. The music of Vonda Shepard (who can sing anything) and Al Green and Barry White and so many others is a joy. Above all, David E. Kelley's writing is, well, I usually watch a program and think I would have changed this or that, but when it comes to Ally McBeal I wouldn't change a thing. It's odd. Eye appealing and funny
We hadn't seen this series in many years. It brought back a lot of memories. Good memories. This series is very witty and full of humor. Such a difference between how well programs were written then versus what we have now.

The television series of Ally McBeal was so ground-breaking in its concept. Special effects that were new then are used in current shows. Calista Flockheart was a unique character and worked in an interesting environment (law office) with a delightful cast of characters. The writing and acting are superb. I was glad to get a complete set of the series, as it has never (to my knowledge) been re-broadcast. Having this series on DVD gives me the opportunity to view the shows I missed and at my leisure.
