    Interesting, fun book to read. Proud of our East Tennessee Dolly.

    It was humorous and told as only Dolly can tell it. I had read someone else's copy then ordered this one as a gift for my roommate in nursing school (many years ago) who happens to be related to Dolly and her family in mentioned in the book.

    Dolly by Dolly Parton (1994)

    I have admired Dolly Parton for many years. I wanted to know about her, and I figured the best thing was to get her book. The book is written in true "Dolly" form, with all the little back hills adages and humor. As I was reading the book, I could hear her voice speaking the words, and believe me, it made it that much more enjoyable. I especially enjoyed reading about her influences and family life growing up, having shared many of the experiences, even though my childhood years were spent on an Indian reservation in the mountains, rather than the hills of Tennessee. I grew up in close to the same era as Dolly did, and being female, I could identify with many of the thoughts and feelings she had as a youngster.     Dolly - My Life and Other Unfinished Business is a ten stars book.

    There is only one word for this book - FABULOUS. I loved everything about it. Especially the honesty and you will love the questions and answers in the last "chapter". From free books for any child who would like them to one of the greatest song writers ever, Dolly Parton is a great singer, song writer, actress, producer and humanitarian.

    From Opryland to Dollywood

    I used to watch Dolly perform with Porter Wagner on Tv's Grand Ole Opry before she was so famous and thin. She was very inspiring with her unique voice and her ability to write such poignant and meaningful songs. This book lets you take a look from the inside out as she goes from fat and bashful to famous and fabulous! A country girl with charm, wit and flair not to mention her acting ability, that proved to the world that even a country hick can make it BIG TIME! You have to read her story...it will INSPIRE you!

    Dolly Parton is a absolute favorite of mine since I was four years old thanks to my grandpa Johnson. This book is Dolly, great, funny, heartfelt and the best. You want regret this purchase absolutely must have for Dolly fans.
