Synopsis
A new collection of essays from the #1 New York Times bestselling author who has been called "the preeminent humorist of his generation" ( Entertainment Weekly ). From the unique perspective of David Sedaris comes a new collection of essays taking his listeners on a bizarre and stimulating world tour. From the perils of French dentistry to the eating habits of the Australian kookaburra, from the squat-style toilets of Beijing to the particular wilderness of a North Carolina Costco, we learn about the absurdity and delight of a curious traveler's experiences. Whether railing against the habits of litterers in the English countryside or marveling over a disembodied human arm in a taxidermist's shop, Sedaris takes us on side-splitting adventures that are not to be forgotten.

The Seller answered all my emails about a delayed delivery and he had to get after the Post Office as they failed to scan his shipments in a timely manner. Otherwise I received the package just a smidge late which wasn't bad for the USPS. Getting to the album. It was exactly as described and is a really great copy and this completes my BOC replacements for the ones that were stolen. Thank You Very Much. You Folks Were Great.

  • Pick another book/CD. 2 thumbs down!

I have been a loyal fan for years. Sadly, I was disappointed in this latest book/CD. He seemed extra grumpy and not really humorous. If you are new to David Sedaris, choose another book/CD.

  • funny and sad

typical david sedaris humor, but with more edgy issues at the end. In light of recent political events, very timely, now more than the time of publishing, ie racism, homophobia. A lot of exploration of issues with his father.
