    DXFRS800 works well

    DXFRS800 work well with a clear sound when close. Obstructions (line of site), glass, tinted windows in vehicles cut the signal. I have owned many of these family / work type close range walkie-talkies, these seem to work as well as the better ones I have used. They come with batteries and a double charger. 1 watt power per radio (not 2W). I have purchased a 2nd set as these will meet basic short range ( ski resort) needs. Camping, rafting, and basic activities are fine. These are not for life saving emergency service. Get a Ham. Good luck.

    this radios is not good for high rise building

    I'm the manager of an 22 story high rise building with 3 levels of underground parking located in New Jersey, I bought the radios base on other reviews however they did not work from our lowest floor to the highest floor I had one member of my staff stay on the lobby floor and the other went up the elevator to the highest floor. The results was after reaching the 17th floor the radios lost commutation.

    Loving these walkies

    Got these for my grandkids for Christmas. Super easy to use for little fingers. Good clear transmission for the entire 5 acre homestead. Walkies gave hours of use over several days before needing recharging. Easy to recharge. Charging station can adapt to charge walkie without holster clip in place or (remove inset in charging bay) with clip on. Durable and rugged, they have already been dropped several times. The kids, ages 7 and 9 love them. Looking forward to using them for years to come.

    Large PTT front face button is easy to use.

    We got this model walkie-talkie because of the large push-to-talk button. Although the button is located on the face of the walkie-talkie it's not too hard to use. In the short amount of time we've used it my wife and I are happy with it's overall size, quality of feel, and the increase range because of the 2 watts of power. The speaker is loud enough and pretty clear so we can better understand each other as compared to our previous less expensive walkie-talkies.
