    My favorite watch brand, now

    With the endless stream of anti-Russian propaganda these days I have become interested in Russian products. Vostok will be my favorite brand of watches now. Solid, not made in China, inexpensive and, unique. I also feel a bit rebellious against the propaganda machine. Won’t be my last Vostok. Oh, use your phone to translate the instructions. There is a faster way to set the date than going around twice.

    Solid mechanical watch

    The Vostok brand offers a lot of value and fun for the money. I've bought several of these watches. They run well and are fun to wear. The 17 jewel movements remind me of watches from 50 years ago. Don't expect the latest and fanciest materials. The crystal is plastic and will scratch. The watch band is flimsy (I've replaced mine with NATO straps), but they make perfect casual and novelty watches, and they keep good time.

    Great watch, poor band.

    Watch itself is very nice. Band is very poor quality and uncomfortable. I put it on a Nato Strap and now it is comfortable and looks nice.
