        Great Thermostat that Required Just a Little Configuration Clean Up

        I purchased this Carrier thermostat online because the retailer that installed me Carrier ac included a non-Internet compatible thermostat with the system and I wanted an Internet compatible thermostat that was identical to the two such units I have installed at my home in NC. I used a separate professional ac company to install the CoR thermostat. Though the supplier performed a complete system check on the thermostat he left all of the original programming on it (it is a used device last installed in a home in Mo.), and I had to go to the Carrier website to cleanup all the details. Everything is squared away now.

        Wifi Control’s with heat pump efficiency

        Great product for carrier heat pumps that can take advantage of efficiency features. Much better than a nest or eccobee for carrier products and cheaper. HomeKit compatible makes this a further great value.

        A good value when purchased as a used unit

        I bought this used unit as a replacement for the same thermostat that was originally installed by the homebuilder, but had stopped working. Features and functionality are excellent, including the ability to update settings from a phone app. This Carrier Cor thermostat is generally only available from HVAC companies, and cannot be purchased at home centers or retail stores. When purchased from an HVAC company, the price of a new unit is in excess of $400, so I was very happy to find a used unit on eBay at a reasonable price. Connection and setup are extremely easy, and do-able by most anyone with a screwdriver.
