        Like watching real history!

        This is a great movie DVD. Cuban Missile crisis, one of the most frightening and intense moments in American history. Reveals the hard decisions of our country's leaders in a genuine threatening situation that could have caused the mutual destruction of the U.S. and the Soviet Union. Every school child in America should be required to watch it. Well acted with high drama!

        Great movie

        Kevin Costner and Bruce Greenwood crush it with their portrayals of Kenny O’Donnell and JFK. The Cuban Missile Crisis was a serious time for America and the storyline is accurately acted out.

        Thirteen days is a great, tension filled look at how close we came to nuclear war

        This is a great movie, a good portrayal of what really happened, the tension and stress the real people were under is well played, one of my favorite movies!

        Historical significance

        Great movie about the Cuban Missle crisis. The actors seem to have been specifically chosen for their ability to play the parts of John and Bobby Kennedy. The movie is shown mostly from the perspective of Kevin Costner's character, detailing his part in the background story behind this historical moment. I'm not normally really affected by movies, but having parents who were young adults at this time, and who talked about how they felt during this period made the movie hit a little closer to home. I knew what the final result was, but even so, the suspense that was built up during the telling of the tale was well done. I lent the DVD to my parents, and they, too, agreed that it was a great representation. I highly recommend it.
