Nice kit but one coupler short for the Audi A4 B5
The install was... interesting. The tab on the bottom of the intercooler is used to mount it to the radiator which is nice. One problem is that it is 1 inch off center so the piping is very tight to the core support on the passenger side and spaced a couple inches away from the support on the driver's side. What this translates to is interference between your driver's fog light and the piping. I had to space the fog light out an inch or so and had I noticed the intercooler off center prior to buttoning it all up, I would have drilled another hole or added a tab extension and moved it over an inch. Instead i ended up cutting some of the fog light housing to compensate. Another issue with the A4 B5 is that the throttle body is 2.5" and they only supply 2" silicone couplers. I had to ... I had to cut my stock pipe and crank down on the hose clamp so it wouldn't leak. The intake pipe in it's natural form is quite snakey so I cut it on the bend and cranked that sucker down. You can as an alternative order in a 2.5" to 2" silicone coupler and had I known I would need it, would have ordered it. But after cinching the hose clamp down, it held pressure. One issue that I had after the install was a weird noise at around 0-5 PSI. It would make a humming noise for a few seconds. So I figured out that the pipe they supply for the diverter valve is too long. The sound was like blowing on a bottle but only at low boost. So I ended up cutting the pipe to about 4 inches and installing the diverter valve directly on the passenger side hot side pipe. Other than these issues, the kit has great fit and finish and I was very impressed with it out of the box. I used the stock hose clamps because the supplied clamps were too big to fit behind the bumper without having to cut into it. I did use the supplied clamps on the turbo exit and intake manifold as I didn't have enough stock ones.
