Old but gold.
Most of the faster processors for notebooks using socket P are relatively cheap nowadays. The T7500 runs at 2.2 GHz, it has 4M of cache. By installing it into an old notebook, you can still run modern programs (you also need sufficient RAM) like Photoshop. The T7500 was manufactured at 65 nm, some newer socket P processors were made at 45 nm, this meens that the T7500 tends to run hot. It can even achieve 65 °C. However, the 45 nm processors still cost way more then their 65 nm counterparts. Ruined my motherboard
I installed CPU in motherboard of my hp Compaq 6730s and put paste on it and put it back together then turned it on and it kept restarting every few seconds no beep or anything my bios was f20 and I took it out put my old one back in same problem. The CPU shorted my motherboard now I have to replace it for 50 bucks thanks a lot.

I have an old laptop and its built like a tank. But the drawback of the model was that it weighs like a tank (8lbs.) and very slow (well, again, like a tank). I use it like a desktop now. I needed a little umph so I decided to replace the sluggish 1.6 MHz with the 2.2 MHz CPU. In addition, I had to flash the BIOS so the laptop can accommodate the faster memory allowed and changed both for a total of 1GHz. While it is slow on multitasking I rely on it on single applications. Still works very well.I have an old laptop and its built like a tank. Nice little upgrade
For older Socket P computers, this is a perfect upgrade. Price-performance value is really good and these secondhand CPUs are working really well. Only con was that CPU wasn't cleaned from the last thermal compound and it was all over the CPU. Luckily it's easy to clean.

I purchased two Intel Pentium 4-M 2.2 GHz processors, one to replace my sons very slow Intel Core 2 Duo Mobile T5250 1.5 MHz in his Dell 1520 laptop and one to replace my wife’s slow Intel Pentium Dual-Core Mobile T2370 in her Del 1525 laptop. Both laptops were previously outfitted with 4 GB of Ram, required no BIOS updates, and showed major improvement in overall performance.
