If you are looking for a cookbook filled with recipes, this is not the book for you. The reason that I liked this book, it searches for the perfect recipe. What makes one recipe better than another. It gives a number of ways that one can make a recipe your own. If you like the writing of Elizabeth David, then you will also like this book, with its American view point, while Elizabeth David writes from an English point of view. I will search for more books from this author, and after reading this book, I am sure that you will also.If you are looking for a cookbook filled with recipes, this is not the book for you.
