    Great value, ideally shaped blade made of high quality carbon steel, and made in U.S.A. Can't beat 'em.

    This knife is one of the best values I've found. The handle appears to be a hardwood - probably beech but not sure.The blade a carbon blade and will hold an edge well. It's quite sharp straight from the factory, but can be given an even sharper edge. This upswept shape is ideal for skinning and dressing big game. I've also purchased one for my son-in-law.

    Very versatile knife in kitchen use.

    I am not now skinning any animal, but, this knife is very valuable to me in the kitchen. It combines the virtues of a Ulo and a carving knife. Use the rocking action, and rarely lift the knife from the cutting board. And keep it razor sharp!!!
