Perfect direct replacement part.
The keypad is fairly easily installed. First, trace out and shut off the correct breaker in the control panel. Next, remove the defective part by gently pulling it straight out from the panel. Unplug the small connector from the back of the keypad. The connector is keyed to snap in place only one way, so you can't get it wrong. The new keypad snaps back into the panel on four plastic legs which are quite fragile, so use caution! All programing information is retained on the larger circuit board, inside the cabinet. Replacement works perfectly
Replacement unit for a discontinued 2005 era model. The display had gone bad on the old one and was unreadable. The new one was easy to install-- just snap it in place of the old one and reattach the wire harness. It seemed to pick up the old settings I already had in place... maybe that's just the deault, not sure.
