New bulbs now work with the help of a neighbor
It turns out the screw-in portion of these replacement bulbs was shorter than the original. A resourceful neighbor was able to modify the lightbulb receptacles inside our GE refrigerator to accommodate these replacement bulbs. Otherwise they would not have worked in our refrigerator..

Exact replacement for the bulb that came with my oven. For some reason I was unable to find any locally... EBay to the rescue :) *So here it is 2 months later and the first bulb burned out... the original lasted 12 years. I'm a little disappointed but we'll see how long the second one holds out. **So here it is a week or two later and the second bulb just burned out. Pretty sorry performance.
