GREAT BUSINESS. Reliable, communicative, exactly as advertised. I would definitely purchase from Tom again. Excellent communication and all of my questions were answered in a timely manner. I received my Lenovo laptop earlier than expected- he shipped it right after I purchased it. It was packaged nicely, the specs all match up, and the computer works great. Thank you so much! Great job and will definitely do business again.

I've purchased used computers in the past, but this one is far and away the best used laptop a guy could hope for. It arrived to me in better condition than the seller's description (not a scratch on it), and it has performed flawlessly. It was packaged to survive a tornado, and arrived right on schedule. I wouldn't hesitate to use this seller again.

    Still processing like a pro

An Awesome processor despite the age of the intel generation. It still performs well for gaming, software development and much more. For animation and rendering its single core functions are amazing. It has 4 physical cores with 8 logical processors that clock high, so if your rendering a big project or just crunching data it will do it all. Make sure you check your motherboards compatibility listing or the intel compatibility listing to verify you have the correct chipset and LGA form factor to use this processor.

    Good chip, terrible mounting design

The chip is great. However, the mounting for the heatsink/fan assembly is a terrible design, and renders it worthless. It works only for motherboards with small mounting holes. If the holes are too big, you can't use it, and you'll have to get a different heatsink and fan.

  • Awesome sauce

I've always wanted a Dell optiplex when I grew up so I decided to get one. Sure the the i3-4160 was a good processor for browsing and stuff but I wanted something that I could use for gaming and video editing. This i7-4790 delivered even though it's older than my laptops cpu it still kicks it's but with raw performance and single core. Can in great condition and I use EVGA frostbite 2 thermal paste and boom under 70 most of the time even on all load.

  • Intel's i7-4790 is still a very relevant CPU if you have a motherboard for it.

The i-4790 is still a very good CPU, but with today's applications, get 32 GBs (unless you only have 2 slots) of DRAM and a good video card. Do yourself a favor, and get a Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO--I also used Arctic Silver instead of the included Cooler Master CPU paste; the cooler and the paste cooled my i7-4970 by about 25 degrees Celsius over stock cooler. The Cooler Master fan is very adequate, but Noctua fans are quieter.

  • Worth the upgrade if your software needs it.

I upgraded from a 3.6 GHz core i3 dual core to a 3.6Ghz core i7 quad core. Frankly, for most applications, there is no change that I can perceive. However Photoshop now runs considerably faster and some Steam games which I could not run at all, now run very smoothly. Its all in what the software can do with the hardware. If I had it to do all over again, yes, I would go for the core i7. One of these days it'll be time to upgrade the 1150 Asus motherboard I have and go to a newer generation cpu, but the Asus has been a tank.
