Limited 180gm smokey colored vinyl LP pressing. Daniel Lanois is an accomplished guitarist, which he displayed on his second solo effort For The Beauty Of Wynona, released to critical acclaim in 1993. Lanois delivered a breezy and warm album, carefully crafted songs with beautiful arrangements, rhythms, and soundscapes. This one will definitely grow on you.

  • Poor Pressing Production

This is not about the supplier nor about the artist/music; it's about the product quality. I have this album in CD form and I'm a huge fan of Daniel Lanois. This vinyl pressing is very disappointing. Lanois is a master of production, so I don't know why this album sounds so flat and distant. Especially Side One. And it's not my equipment; everything I have is high quality (my stylus is a $200 Sumiko Olympia) and the rest of my vinyl collection sounds great. It's not all songs (Marie Claire sounds great, for example), but it's the grand majority of cuts. I will not be listening to this vinyl release. I've lost my money but I'd rather listen to the superior CD version from when it was originally released (and purchased) in 1993.
