O-ring Gasket Big Improvement
The O-ring gasket is much improved over the previous foam rubber gasket that was on my previous unit. I bought this unit only because I could not find a replacement foam rubber gasket for my old unit. Quality of plastic and molding is excellent, as was my old unit. Every Hayward piece of pool equipment I’ had experience with has been excellent quality.

Keeps skimmer lines clean
I almost plugged my skimmer line by vacuuming up a jagged dog bone. I then added the standard palm leaves to really jam it up. I got lucky and unplugged it with a shop vac. Never will do it again with this vac plate, the heavy items stay in the skimmer basket. Worth the money and good quality.

alot easier than removing the basket and plug hose into main fitting at the bottom of the skimmer.Remove inner sleeve and place over the basket and connect hose
