    Silver coins.

    I purchased this coin to fill a slot in my collection as well for it's silver content. Silver is a "hard currency" as opposed to the non-silver coins which are are only as good as the government which produces them. In hard times, silver can be used to purchase goods. Non-silver coins, I hard times, may be totally worthless.
