Perfect fit. It’s easier than I expected. Definitely remove the whole pump and replace everything included in this kit. The flat gasket I found bubbled from corrosion and allow oil to seep out. Hardest part is getting to it. Super easy if manual transmission.

Why buy and entire vacuum pump when you can just change the seals?!
When you have a car that's 9 years old and you have an annoyance leak like the vacuum pump leak buying this kit is a great money saver. On an MK5 with a manual trans this is a very easy fix and on a automatic a little longer but definitely doable. If I had bought a new vacuum pump I would be out about $240 for the part but by buying this part I did it for under $40. I would definitely buy the kit again. It fit perfectly looked exactly like the factory seals I took out and best of all the annoyance leak from the vacuum pump is gone.When you have a car that's 9 years old and you have an annoyance leak like the vacuum pump leak buying this kit is a great money saver. Vw vacuum pump rebuild
I have never tried to rebuild a vacuum pump before, I am fairly handy and not shy of trying. I recently purchased a 2007 Vw Beetle for my daughter and was shocked at the cost to replace such a simple item. After locating several options including replacing with a used piece, I decided to give this rebuild a shot. The car was in the garage for several minor repairs including the battery, to my surprise the simplicity of the repair made it well worth the investment, and it only required about 30 minutes time to complete. I would highly recommend the average to skilled person make this repair and save hundreds of dollars vs. paying a shop. Complete kit!...almost
Kit contains all gaskets for rebuilding a vacuum pump. An expensive kit; for this price and convenience I would include 4 new hex head bolts to replace the T25 torx style. The torx heads strip easy. These bolts need to be tight to compress the seal—easy to slip and strip if replacing the seal while the vacuum pump is still in place. A common way to fix an oil leak is to only replace the outer cover seal/gasket. Another option would be to sell these gaskets separately. Since I purchased the kit while only needing the one gasket. These are quality gaskets. No problem there.Kit contains all gaskets for rebuilding a vacuum pump. Huge savings!
If you have a 2.5l vw from 2006-2007 era, it likely has a leaky vacuum pump. VW doesn’t sell the inner rubber gasket, so the whole unit has to be replaced. This kit has saved me about $180. In my case only the rear crush gasket was the one that failed, but I wouldn’t trust reusing the housing gasket anyway. Great kit, so far works like a charm.
