    The perfect space baseplate.

    I remember this baseplate for all of my classic Space LEGO sets, as ubiquitous as the spaceship-orbiting-the-planet insignia on all of the original minifigures. This piece was always a centerpiece of any diorama that I'd build, a necessary backdrop for when I was playing, and a perfect addition to ANY Space LEGO collection. As far as I'm concerned: you can never have too many of these :)
