    I Chose To Collect The More Rare 75 Cent Variant

    ASM #239 was published during a "cover price variant window" at Marvel -- during this window, there were both 60 cent and 75 cent cover price newsstand copies produced. The 75 cent copies were sent up to newsstands in Canada. At the time of publication, the population of Canada was a mere 9.8% of the North American market for comic books by population size -- and then only the newsstand portion of the market got the price variants (the Direct Edition type sold in comic shops across North America were identical). Check the CGC census for the current count of 75 cent copies ("broken out" as the "Canadian Edition" variant) and you'll be amazed how relatively rare they are with surviving copies far more scarce than even the single-digit original distribution percentage.
