    A must read. Even if you have the PDF, you need to acquire a hardcopy!

    I have read hundreds of books regarding World War II. This is certainly the finest book that I have come across, on the subject. Written by a British reporter embedded in the war, it speaks to the statistics and actual discussions that took place. Alexander Werth was given unprecedented access within the country, and he has provided a detailed writeup of every phase of the war in Russia.

    "Russia at War" is a moving and engrossing Book ... I like to think of it as maybe the best non-fiction book I have ever read ... I take it with me as my "walking book" and try and reread at least two pages of it every day ...
