Essential Reading for anyone becoming or researching Honey Beekeeping
A. I. Root from Medina, Ohio started this on beekeeping back in 1879 organized like an encyclopedia. Topics are listed in alphabetical order and cover virtually every topic related to beekeeping. ABC & XYZ of Bee Culture is a must have for any beekeeper. This book has been updated every couple years since 1879. The more recent the better.

First written in the latter part of the 1800's this book has evolved into one of todays most sought after and useful beekeeping books. Contains all formats of information on beekeeping from A to Z. The earlier editions were called ABC of Bee Culure and were later change by Root to the current title. These are great collectors books not only for the information contained in them but for the astectic qualities of the books through the years. The earlier editions are your more valuable in regards to collectors while your later editions are more focused on todays modern problems in beekeeping. Older 1800 edtions have excellent plates and photos that the newer versions do not have.First written in the latter part of the 1800's this book has evolved into one of todays most sought after and useful beekeeping books. Bee keeping beginner
I bought this book to give to our daughter for her upcoming birthday. She is studying Plant Sciences/Entomology (& wants to focus on beekeeping) I believe she’ll be thrilled with this book for it’s in-depth content & historical value as well!
