It's a little more cumbersome than the newer one-piece 160W inverter but this one has a major upside: You can connect a cable to it and then feed other smaller gear that can use 18V. I bought "DC Power Charger Adapter Cable 7.4mmx5.0mm To 4.5mmx3.0mm For HP Blue Tips" here on Ebay for that purpose. So now when I have to solder something way out there I do not have to run extension cords or a generator anymore. Which is cool.
