    good brackets but poor hardware

    the bracket is good. the hardware that comes with the brackets are garbage for an exterior application. the concrete anchors are cheap steel that will quickly rust off when exposed to wet conditions and the screws for securing the wood post to the bracket are seff-tappers which do not make for a good tight connection in wood. I had to buy stainless steel concrete anchors and lag bolts for securing the post, to use which was an added coast to the project. but at least if the brackets rust out in the future, I will be able to replace them and not have broken rusted anchors in the concrete.
