I love this radio. It's simple to use, looks sturdy and is as described. It arrived fully charged. Everything works. The radio is loud and actually sounds pretty good even though I didn't have the antenna out and I was inside. It doesn't sound tinny and irritating, which I was afraid it would. I'm so relieved to have this radio for when the SHTF. 5 stars!!

Item as described, delays due to post office/route. Item is exactly as described. Took a while to get to Guam but it was exactly what I was looking for. Before doing the full charge I tested out the hand crank and was surprised it worked as well as it did to power the radio.

    Flexible emergency radio

This radio does exactly what it says. Many ways to charge, switchable aa battery option. Sound is not extremely high quality but good for an emergency radio. Hand crank is easy to use. Relatively small. Would recommend this product for emergency purposes.

Neat toy but I wouldn't bank your life on it as a survival radio

Sand quaility isn't great, but you can get buy. Probably the best your gonna get from a small radio though. Fairly easy to use and the reception is ok. The biggest cons in my opinion is that the hand crank isn't a real efficient charging method. According to midland, the solar feature needs 48 hours of full sun for a full charge. 5 hours for a full usb charge. We gave it a full charge on the usb, then charged my wifes phone with the unit. It chagred from 72% to 86%, then cut off charging. It took 50% of the battery power to achieve just that much.

  • Great radio for emergencies

Th s is a great radio, the quality is good and from a brand that I can say that I trust. The only draw back to it which isn't really a problem is how big it is. I like also how you can disconnect the rechargeable battery that way it has the charge when you need it. I've owned multiple Midland NOAA radios and have never been disappointed yet

  • Midland radio

Bought this radio just before hurricane Irma. it ran for 2 days before i got to charge it after the storm. it still had two charge bars left so it would have gone more. solar charged it after that. worked great but takes more time to charge. not a complaint. huge piece of mind when your house is shaking and you have no power to be able to get updates on the storm. we were able to get the weather update that told us that Irma had turned a little east and we were through the worst of the storm. we had no power for the next 9 days but we had all the local info we needed thanks to this radio. buy it and put it in your hurricane kit now. • Great multi-tool emergency radio

Overall I really like this radio. It has all the parts that I feel are useful for this type of device especially for the solar and crank option. The overall durability seems to be fairly good however, I found the device to be quite large for what I was expecting (although not a deal breaker, just a personal preference). I have put one in each of my 72hr kits for the family and keep one in each vehicle.
