    Great Banjo

    Great sound, easy to handle. Holds its tune really good. My first Banjo. I do believe its all I need to play at home and drive the wife crazy....Just added a resonator today. So much better sound. I was scared I wouldn't be able to play the Banjo. Practice has paid off. Don't get discouraged if you purchase this Banjo or any other. Just practice. But I love this Deering Banjo.

    The Deering Banjo plays beautiful right out of the box. Setup was perfect. I allowed it to acclimate to room temperature , tuned it up and it plays and sounds great! I couldn’t be more pleased. Thank you much!

    Goodtime tenor

    Good entry-level banjo...mylar head makes it a little bright for my taste...hooks and nuts excellent....hoop is ok...lack of truss rod can limit it's life

    I considered a cheaper banjo but I'm very glad I spent a little bit extra and got a Deering.

    I wanted an open back banjo because they're lighter but I was worried it might not be a loud or sound as good as a resonator however this has amazingly good sound and tone to it, it projects well, it's loud and clear and will not get lost in a band setting. Build quality seems really good to me. I found one in like new condition which cost just a bit more than some cheaper entry level banjos but wow am I glad I paid a little extra for this.
