  • Russell rocks!

Oh, I like this film. Hilarious film this is of the Apatow group and funnier every time I watch it. However, it has its sad moments also, since the characters have problems...those occasional deep, underlying problems which lead to the development of other problems, one after the other after the other. The momentum of this story is driven by the internal, externally demonstrated by whizzing from one airport or bar or apartment to another in the tumultuous world of the tormented rock-god until we all finally make it to the Greek Theatre. (notably the words Greek and god have been seen together elsewhere, just not here) And you really DO want to hear this guy sing! It is just that we have to ride the big roller coaster of love and hate to get there. He is good. Great even. And you feel ...

  • crazy movie

this movie was not what i expected... as a follow up to "forgetting Sarah Marshall" i thought this was much better, especially considering i didnt have to look at a pecker for the first 15 minutes of it!!!!! the movie had very memorable moments in it.. this movie gave me my new life's mantra "If life slips you a Jeffery, Stroke the fury wall." I did expect it to be much funnier based on what all my friends made it out to be but i still think this is a must see movie, though probably not worth full retail price, and im happy i didnt pay full price to see this in theaters. On the other hand i am happy to own this movie, maybe for a rainy day or a house party (if someone mentions it)

  • Get Him to the Greek (DVD, 2010, Rated/Unrated)

If you're easily offended by raunchy humor or satire is not your cup of tea, then this probably is not the ideal movie choice for you. I thought it was funny and entertaining from the beginning all the way to the end of the credits. I loved the ridiculous songs and lyrics, and Russell Brand did an excellent job delivering them. To me this was a sort of 21st century take on the "This is Spinal Tap" type scenario minus the spoof documentary treatment (which I also love). If you've been in a rock band, spent some time around one or were a die hard follower - especially during the '80s to mid '90s - I think you might enjoy this even more. I've read some reviews that mentioned a weakness in the "serious" moments in the film, but that's ...

  • get me to the greek

Wanted to buy this dvd because I am a big fan of Russell Brand and the promos seem to be fairly funny...With that said the premise of the movie was for an average Joe who works in the biz to get an out of control rock star to a certain location on time and under control. The scenarios caused by this premise were hilarious if not a little over the top (some rather gross). It did have an underlying theme about friendship and loyalty and about seizing the moment, but sometimes it was hard to pull any thought out of it. The singing by Russell was great. He should have his own band. Sean Combs was "puffy"

  • Funniest movie ever -typical Jonah Hill

This is a great movie- so funny. Had to buy another one because the last person I lent it out to didn't return it. Probably should have ordered several as backups!
