Last comment on this seller, I have purchased 10 or so items now. Always as described. Keeps an eye on shipping and will communicate if a need arises. Kept an eye on multiple items purchases and shipping cost for me, credited when deemed possible. I wasn't expecting this but was much appreciated. Since first purchase, I have come back for more!

  • Bastardos - Blues Traveler

At some point in every successful band or musician’s career they seem to have this need to create a "theme" album. A record that "expands boundaries" and "stretches their musical limitations" i.e. something different then what got them to the point they are. While the 05 release of Bastrados met with much critical acclaim, it bears very little semblance to the music that made the band popular. Even John Poppers’ vocals seem restrained and the trade-mark harmonica is almost non-existent instead favoring a more traditional rock sound. I do not recommend this for the casual fan looking for a taste of the band and would point you to one of their 3 live albums or the 02 release “Blues Traveler Classics”.

  • it's a keeper

If you own no Blues Traveler, I recommend you begin with FOUR. See if you like it. Easy to find a copy, and it would be palpable to the general public. I mean, The Mountains Win Again has been used in national adveritising copy during the Super Bowl.... Bastardos! is more complex than Travelers and Thieves or Straight on Till Morning, but if these pleased you, Bastardos! is well worth the effort. Favorite track - That Which Does Not Kill You - for the outstanding guitar work. KUDOS.
