Coming of age movies celebrate youth at its most outrageous and carefree. In this 2004 DVD release of 'Dazed and Confused' Flashback Edition, the year is 1976 and it is the end of the school year for a group of Texas high school students. The eclectic mix of students range from stoners to cheerleaders who celebrate with a wild range of activities that takes them through the day and the evening. This includes the hazing of freshmen to a keg party celebration. Written and directed by Richard Linklater, the film stars actors Ben Affleck, Milla Jovovich, Parker Posey, and Matthew McConaughey. With a running time of roughly 103 minutes, it also includes special features, such as production notes, retro public service announcements, and nine deleted scenes that have never been seen before.

    Dazed and Confused (DVD, 2004)

    Dazed and Confused is a 1993 coming of age comedy film featuring a large ensemble cast of actors who would later become stars, including Matthew McConaughey, Jason London, Ben Affleck, Milla Jovovich, Cole Hauser, Parker Posey, Adam Goldberg, Joey Lauren Adams, Nicky Katt, and Rory Cochrane. It is May 28, 1976, the last day of school at Lee High School in the suburbs of Austin, Texas. The next year's group of seniors are preparing for the annual hazing of incoming freshmen. Randall "Pink" Floyd, the school's star football player, is asked to sign a pledge promising not to take drugs during the summer or do anything that would "jeopardize the goal of a championship season". When classes end, the incoming freshman boys are hunted down by the seniors and paddled. The incoming freshman girls ...

    excellent movie if your were a 70's hippie chick/dude

    If you are a girl/guy of the 70's era you will LOVE this movie. Being now over 50 it was so cool to watch a movie about what my life was like in the 70's. The music, the clothes, the lingo, the traditions!!! It just simply took me back to a place and time that was free of cares and fears and was just happy. Also the antics that were played out really were done.....not that I would know about that !!! I bought this movie because this era takes me back to a place and time that was an innocent period in my younger life......my favorite movie ever.
