    A Double Twist on a Known Plotline

    A twist on the excorsism plot. Entertaining lead flim flam man. Strange ending, but oh well, I enjoyed the main premise.

    Scary No, Disappointing Yes.

    I had heard people say that this movie was so scary, that I couldn't wait to see it. So I was really quite disppointed to find out that the first 2/3 of the movie were NOT scary at all! It was interesting, though, this preacher doing his 'mockumentary' and revealing the secrets of 'fake' exorcisms....but I found myself saying over and over 'When is this going to get scary?'. The only part that had a hint of 'scary' to it was the barn scene where she was contorting her body and twisting her head, like Linda Blair on the original Exorcist movie....but that part lasted only maybe 5-10 minutes before the preacher decided, once again, that she was 'faking it.' I was looking forward to a full-blown exorcism scene, like in the original Exorcist movies, but never got it. Instead there was this ...

    What do you get when you cross THE EXORCIST with LEAP OF FAITH and add dashes of ROSEMARY'S BABY and THE BLAIR WITCH PROJECT? You get THE LAST EXORCISM, in which a minister who performs exorcisms for profit begins to believe there is something seriously wrong with his latest client. People in many horror films too-quickly leap to the conclusion that paranormal activity is taking place, because if they didn't, the film would be too long and boring. This one isn't, despite the fact that the minister continues to search for a rational explanation past the point where viewers are convinced that the girl is possessed.
