    Awesome value if you love Shichimi Togarashi

    My local Asian food shop stopped stocking Shichimi Togarashi (That's what we called it in the area of Japan where I came from, not Nanami as on the front of the bag...) and now only carry Ichimi Togarashi, which is just fine ground hot pepper. I was so glad to find the large bag of this stuff when I was looking for the small glass bottles of this stuff to buy. I had a few empty glass bottles saved from previous purchase, so now I just fill the bottle as needed to use in my kitchen and on the table. In my humble opinion, this is so much tastier than the pepper-only version. This is a timeless classic that elevates the hot pepper into something far more fragrant and complex with distinctly Japanese flavors of additional herbs and just the right amount of sesame seeds.

    Excellent! Awesome. I have tried several other brands that were ok. A friend chef at a Japanese restaurant suggested this brand. My guests and family were raving about about the difference in my salmon firecracker rice. Be aware that a little goes a long way and packs a lot of heat for sensitive buds. Enjoy!
