    Great movie for Bloodrayne fans

I loved the Bloodrayne character since i played the video game. This movie is really good and engaging with a great cameo by Meatloaf. This version is the directors cut and shows a lot more than the regular version...

  • Bloodrayne (DVD, 2006, 2-Disc Set, Unrated Director's Cut)

BloodRayne was not a bad movie nor was it a great movie. It was a decent movie for one based on a video game. There was no overacting (save for a few scenes) and the CGI was awesome actually (especially the castles). Blood rage and Blood effects were awesome. When it comes to BloodRayne... it actually surprised me. I expected it to be a lot worse... but it was decent.

  • Great actors, crappy dialogue/exposition

I rented Bloodrayne on Comcast On Demand and realized about twenty minutes into it that this movie was scattered in terms of its exposition. The director seems to take us from one point to the next with no real "flow" to Bloodrayne's origins. One minute we see her at a carnival as an attraction, the next she escapes and starts killing people. It just didn't seem to fit. As I have never played the game, I thought I could learn about it and, if I liked the movie, buy the game. Alas I will not. As far as acting is concerned, it comes across as wooden because the dialogue is so terrible. Whoever wrote this movie needs to be given the Bubonic plague for allowing my ears to hear the utterly mid-twentieth lines used in a sixteenth century context. People then ...

  • Will Watch This DVD Again !

This movie is great if you are a fan of horror/vampire genre movies. I read negative comments about Uwe Boll as a director before I saw Bloodrayne and I have to disagree. He does a great job with Bloodrayne. I haven't seen anything else he has directed but may do so. From the DVD interview, he comes across as a pretty smart and educated guy with a sense of humor about the movies he makes and his critics. The DVD version I saw, has the Uwe Boll interview, MOS CGI special effects clips, and director's commentary. I would try and find one with more special features. It did have the PC game included. This movie is lots of fun to watch with plenty of blood spilling action. Plus, with beautiful Kristanna Loken playing the lead, you can't lose. Ms. Loken plays Rayne, a ...

  • Rates with some of the worst movies I have ever seen.

I was bored looking for a movie had seen it at the store a few times liked the video game so I figured what hey why not buy it I liked Kristanna Loken from Teminator 3 , Michelle Rodriguez (SWAT) and Michael Madsen (Resevoir Dogs) so I figured it couldn't be all bad. Went in with low expectations and was completely astonished at how much worse it actually was, bad acting and I know albeit not the greatest actors and actresses but they can and have done much better. So that would lead me to believe that the director Uwe Boll is at fault, given his track record with the likes of Alone in the Dark and House of the Dead it becomes very clear I don't think I will ever watch another of his movies again, and I don't recommend anyone else do either.
