Vw Strut Bars

Flimsy, not very strong.
Good idea, poor design. You need to remove the coolant reservoir (at least in my 89 kabrio) to fit the brace, so you need to come up with a way to re attach it. You also need to remove and re install vacuum selonoids on the passanger side. Besides that, it is not very strong, structurally speaking.

Worked with some fitment issues
Hi. The quality was nice. Light aluminum...however the driver side tower base plate is too large and pushes down on the coolant reservoir. A little trimming with cutoff wheel and it works fine

Strut brace Mk1 Rabbit
I purchased this strut brace, came fast. When I went to install, the bolt holes line up but if you have a stock coolant tank this will not fit. The strut brace hits the tank. I had to slightly grind it to clear over the tank. Besides that, it makes a difference in the handling. Good product just needs a little massage.
