    HOW DID THE THIRD REICH COME TO BE & HOW DID IT FALL?

    Great DVD. The scenes are German-made and the narrative clearly explains how Adolph came to power, and how the 3d Reich eventually collapsed under the crushing power of the Allies. Well worth the money. Would be a great asset to a high-school's world history classes.

    HOME movies from INSIDE Nazi Germany ~ FACINATING~ 5 STARS~

    the RISE and FALL of the third Reich from *GERMAN* home movies~ excellent. 2 dvd set~ the Rise~ from German newsreals and mainly home movies we see the life and changes in Germany from Rise of Hitler. to the changes in Jewish rights. what makes this interesting we see it though several families who carry though the time lines of the dvd series~ we see Karl Fromm who starts as a young hitler youth to being a soldier in Russia. narrated in English this is facinating~ each dvd is about 90 minutes. interesting fact the Hitler Maidens were used to produced ayrian children~ never seen this before. the FALL~ DVD 2 is the best~ we slowly see the demise of the cities and families as the bombing increases~ EXCELLENT SERIES~ 5 star ALL THE WAY. some of the orig home movies are nearly 80 years old ...

    If you are in to World War II documentaries, This is one of the best!

    The History Channel has delivered a great documentary with The Third Reich. The documentary consists of footage from Germany before, and during the rise and fall of Adolph Hitler and the Nazi Party. The documentary also utilized writings and letters from people living in Germany during that time. It paints an honest picture of the people living under the Nazi party, many were Nazis in public, and opposed the regime in private. The voice acting in this film is also amazing. If you are in to World War II documentaries, This is one of the best!

    Interesting in that it's made up mostly of home movies made by Germans before and during and after the war.

    I'm not happy that it's a double sided DVD instead of two DVD's, because there's no large labeling on a double sided DVD and I like to recognize DVD's at a glance. But it played well and I decided I didn't care enough to make a fuss.
