    Atari is just fun

I bought this version because I heard you could rig it up to play actual cartridges. With YouTube's help you can, and it's awesome!

  • Console with Pitfall and River Raid is great

I like the Atari Flashback 2 because it has Pitfall and River Raid which were subsequently deleted from the Flashback 2+, 3 and 4. My only guess is because the FB 2 was made by Atari but the later consoles were made by AT Games and they probably were not able to feature those games because the contract was exclusive to Atari. Overall there is not a huge selection of games so I'm docking one star. When playing a game there is no easy way to switch back to another game, instead you have to power cycle the console to get back to the game selection list. Docking one star for this.

  • AWESOME CLASSIC COME BACK!!!!!!

While shelves are crowded with 'plug and play' consoles, Atari's Flashback 2 stands out from the pack. This self-contained unit isn't another cheap knock-off with poorly emulated games, but instead is a fully formed mini-Atari 2600 console, complete with full sized controllers and accurately emulated titles. The unit's game selection includes famous titles such as Yars' Revenge and Haunted House, plus lesser-known games such like Fatal Run and Quadrun. However, what makes the unit exciting for classic gamers is the inclusion of never released prototypes, homebrew titles, and sequels released exclusively for the system. This makes Atari Flashback 2 an excellent purchase that should please hardcore classic gamers everywhere.

  • This is a super device for the money. Nostalgia in a tiny box!

Super simple to plug and play: 2 minutes from boxed to play. After less than 5 minutes though it went dead!!! I noticed the power supply marked 110V 60HZ. Oops... we have 220V 50Hz. Dope! Well it didn't blow up! Into the spares cupboard for another 9V power supply (European this time!) and walla, back in action in no time. Straight into Adventure - just like I remember it - only clearer because of the RCA cables (not old COAX). Adventure II... man I only read of this back then... If you've ever had a 2600 then for $10,$20 or even $30 this brief time trip back in history is well worth it! And you get two Atari 9 PIN joysticks with it!!! SIMPLY AWESOME.

  • Reliving my childhood

This is so great. Of course the graphics are not great it’s an Atari flashback. But the games are all the ones I played as a kid and it’s super fun.
