About this product

Product Information

Light rays which are reflected by any surface can become polarized so polarizing filters are used to select which light rays enter your camera lens. CIRCULAR PL filters allow you to remove unwanted reflections from non-metallic surfaces such as water, glass etc. They also enable colors to become more saturated and appear clearer with better contrast. This effect is often used to increase the contrast and saturation in blue skies and white clouds. HOYA's polarizing filters do not affect the overall color balance of a shot.

    Hoya Pro 1 circular polarizer is indispensable

    I have used these filters (the Pro 1, made in Japan) for years, and they have not disappointed. The coating is nice, the polarizing is very even, and they turn relatively smoothly. They're also very thin, which helps to prevent vignetting (darkening in the corners of photos).

    Great product. Welcome addition to equipment

    Works well as a quality brand should. It cut down in glare and acts as sunglasses for the lens. Practice using it since it darken too much in lower light conditions.
