        4 crime classics in one.

        Leonard is a crime writer in the same class as Raymond Chandler, Dashiell Hammett and Ross MacDonald. All of these authors are available from the Library of America. LOA produces extremely well made books packing a lot of content into modest sized volumes. This volume has squeezed over 1000 pages into a binding an inch and a quarter thick. The pages are like India paper. They're nice, smooth and a creamy color. The font is comfortable to read. Most people buying this will already be familiar with Elmore Leonard and are looking for a deluxe and lasting format. I really like the compactness: they're smaller than the typical hardcover book. I take these on vacations and plane trips This book is going to Canada with me this week.
