    The LG drive read about 65% of the UHD's attempted. Not sure what the "sleep bug patch" mentioned is referring to, but after ripping if you leave disc sitting for a while the disc WILL NOT eject without power cycling the enclosure. This drive is cheap and didn't read all my discs, but the Pioneer I got to replace it has had a 100% read rate with the discs the LG would not.

    This item is so great at using makemkv to convert a 4k uhd disk to an MKV format. I like it so much I purchased a second one for my other PC. I did not install there internally rather I used a Vantec NexStar DX2 USB 3.0 External Enclosure that connects the drive via sata connection and connects to my PC via USB 3.0. It works great. I would recommend this to anyone and the seller, I have had ZERO problems and can not emphasis how well the player works for my needs. It is exactly as described!!!

    Great drive and good burning speeds!

    This drive supports up to 128GB Blu-Ray discs. I use it for data backups and it burns at a good rate. It is easy to burn using K3B in my Linux installation. It is also good for MakeMKV and putting my Blu-Ray discs into my Plex Media Server. Highly recommended drive!

    Easy to install

    I was impressed how easy this drive was to install. On my case it involved removing two screws on case, unplugging two cables, and removing old drive. Installation was the reverse. That's it! No special software or drivers. I run Linux Mint 17.2 for my operating system. So far I have read and burnt DVD's and read blu-ray’s. I have not yet tried to burn a blu-ray disc.

    Inexpensive, fast, Blue Ray burner

    This drive supports most disk formats out, is fast, and a great deal when on sale. It also is a deal because it's just the drive, no software, cables, or screws. If your buying a drive like this one you should already have all that anyway.
