I give it a three star, I've been told the first movie is always best, but for myself I like the second movie best, Return to Macon County Line for this kind of movie one expects more fast high speed driving, Macon County Line does not offer that, its kind of a dull movie other then the last part. It's not a bad movie just not what i was hoping for.

First of all this film is NOT based on a true story...Upon its release it was advertised as based on a true story, to generate a wider audience (much like the fans of the "Walking Tall" movies..which was based on a true story), but everything is made up...the storyline and the characters..written by its star Max Baer between takes during filming "Beverly Hillbillies" penned this classic tale of revenge/blood lust..after coming home with his young son to find his pretty wife brutally raped and murdered he mistakenly targets a pair of brothers and a pretty young hitch hiker..his Son played by former teen heart throb Leif Garrett should not to be dismissed as a background player..this movie is entertaining though dated..would love to see a reboot with actors Ian Somerhalder (Damon Salvatore) ...
