The side straps are slightly elastic but are not adjustable. I ordered a Large (using the size chart) but it was a little too tight for my dog. I contacted the seller who promptly sent me a replacement XL. It takes a little practice to use the side zipper but the jacket is a good weight and it stays in place while my dog runs & jumps. Five stars for customer service, five stars for the jacket itself.

Your comment: Unfortunately, I did not realize that a zippered dog jacket would not work with our long-haired pooch; her hair kept getting caught in the zipper. It s not the fault of the seller, but something you learn by experience and trial and error. The coat was of excellent quality; however, it did not meet our needs. We ended up with a blanket coat using Velcro closures. The seller did go out of his way to please us by offering discounts to keep the coat, but we knew we could never use it.

Love the jackets, easy to put on, very cozy, good materials. 4XL fitting was ok for my Weimaraners, but would have been better if straps where adjustables. Otherwise, great.
