Close but no cigar
Great idea, nice quality, great price...but the clumping litter that we need to use for two cats sticks in the holes and plugs them up making it more work than not. Maybe it should come with a recommendation for certain types of litter? Anyway, it was a good deal and I will keep trying other litters to try and make it work for us.

use newspapers spreaded out to clean mess

Messy and difficult to work with
This type of litter box is messy and difficult to use. It is recommended to use it with 15 pounds of litter in it. This makes it heavy enough to be difficult to work with. I've stopped using this litter box and gotten the Mega Paw cat box, which is an excellent product.

Sure beats sifting by hand. The second tray makes things way easier. Of the three cats I have, one is pretty aggressive in the box, so higher sides would have been great. To remedy that, I bought a bigger plastic tub with high sides to put the tray in and put a step next to the whole works for easier access. Now all is well.
