Amazing SQ Sub
Very low distortion, functions well in a small sealed box, and is very quick. Handles high bass and low bass exceptionally well. Cleanest sub I have ever listened to. It's overbuilt and is pure eye-candy. Would only recommend this sub if you want the absolute cleanest bass possible. It's expensive, doesn't get very loud, and does not handle abuse well. If you want loud, look to DC Audio, Sundown Audio, etc. This sub is a single 4 ohm voice coil rated for 400 RMS so powering it effectively is difficult. This sub is not a basshead's best choice. ADVANCED INFO (ignore this if you're a beginner) This sub has incredibly low inductance. While I haven't tested it myself, Pioneer's frequency response curve shows it rolling off on the top end above 1000hz. Qtc in a 1 cubic foot sealed box is ... Made in Japan quality, efficient, great low frquency coverage
Probably the last model of subwoofer to be designed & built in Japan by Pioneer. They put a lot of their past & future technologies into this beast. These not designed for SPL & Bassheads (400 watts RMS/800 watts Max) More for solid low frequency SQ & accuracy. These were designed to be used with their PRS amps, which are designed more towards clean low distortion SQ, than SPL. Pricier than most Pioneer subwoofers, these are a great match up for the PRS amps.Probably the last model of subwoofer to be designed & built in Japan by Pioneer.
