In summary this dvd was a rockin' and a rollin' it was fantastarastic as well as scrumptious to the taste buds of course. Led Zeppelin's The Song Remains the Same Dvd is a masterpiece beyond comprehension. The way it was put together in itself lends to the dvd's radiant essence in the key of eternity. Brilliant

    A Live Performance that Escapes all Confines: Beyond Genius. Go there!

    1973. Vietnam. Cold War. OPEC Crisis. Yom Kippur. Add water koolaid tang recession. Even here in Lil Ole Nowhere, Canada, air-raid sirens stood sentinel as USSR "Bear Bombers" invaded our airspace on their way to test the land of milk and honey, of plenty. Remember "Pet Rocks?" 1973. From the Pantheon of the Rock Gods, descended like aliens onto earth, Page, Plant, Jones and "Bonzo" Bonham, to take us away, infinitely temporal, to a better place, a sonic heaven, an oasis of the mind, out of body; levitation. 1973. Without computers, without digital anything, Led Zeppelin took me to that heavenly place, where everything is peaceful and people, we were all together in this, blissful happiness. Whether you've heard of Led Zeppelin or not, if you're into music, especially live concert ...

    Modernizing of a Classic

    I've watched the original version many, many times, and listened to the soundtrack countless times. That being said, I was able to enjoy the improved sound quality of this version. If you know the old version, you will too. The Bonus CD is cool too - with four previously unreleased songs, and some interesting commentary. These four performances will be appreciated by Zep fans, but as compared to the level of the performance in the original - I can see why they didn't make the last cut. Of course they are great because they are Zep, but I would say not their best exhibition of talent. All in all, Definately worth buying.
