    Product Information

    The ninth release in KOEI's Romance of the Three Kingdoms series casts players as rising rulers in ancient China and challenges them to unite the land under their rule. Following the basic design of earlier titles, players develop and manage large armies as they maneuver across the wide countryside, using both military force and diplomatic finesse to win territory and followers. The hard-core strategy framework is fleshed out with a variety of mission types, branching storylines, and an embellished adherence to the actual history and culture of the setting.<br><br>Features in this edition include the ability to manage both political and military aspects of the empire, at the same time, allowing players to continue to negotiate while their troops are in battle. While this version of the game resumes the limitation that player characters must be of the Ruler class, officer development has been revised to allow greater control in developing followers. KOEI fans who also play Dynasty Warriors 4 and Dynasty Tactics 2 can use their save files to unlock a powerful, exclusive officer character.

      Good Game, If you have Time and Patience.

      This game has a lot of things going on. You have to be patience and build up kingdoms and send out armies when the time is right. Unlike RTK VIII you do not get to fight the battles, they fight themselves. A really nice part of the game is that you can create bases and walls to prevent enemies from attacking you main castles. Overall this is a good game if you have a lot of time to play and dont mind going slow.

      PS2 Romance of the 3 kingdoms 9

      I love the whole series, but would have been better if they had re released to first three games on to ps or ps2. I never got why they put romance 5 on the psp. But other then that game play and story are great in all of these i like 9 alot but i enjoy playing them all that i have that were on ps2. If you like rpg style stratgey games then this series is one to invest time and a lil money since alot of this series is listed rare.

      RTK IX - Possibly the WORST RTK

      RTK IX is dramatic flop for the series. First and foremost, it is very difficult to learn , it NOT USER FRIENDLY. Second, you basically fall backwards to the old format of having to chose an existing ruler which takes alot of the creativity out of creating your own character. Third, the passage of time is painfully to slow for this particular game. RTK IX goes in increments of Early Jan 189 Mid Jan 189 Late Jan 189.... In RTK X, you can ADJUST ANY AMOUNT of time you want to pass. Thats what its all about: Options and flexibility. Lastly, you don't even NEED to conquer all the territories to achieve conquest. All you need to do is conquer the minimum rulers in the scenario and any vacant cities are not counted. There really isn't any real excitement when playing this game. You ...

      Most Unique of the Series

      This is probably my favorite from the RTK series. This one focused more on "macro" management. Single map interface, much less "cheap/easy" ways to get goals accomplished. This one is certinaly more unique in game play than others in the series to date. It requires much strategy and patience to win. If you are into turn based strategy, this one will keep you busy for awhile...
