    A great movie with awesome bonus features

    This was a great DVD release by Pixar back in September of 2005! Toy Story was the grandfather of all CGI animated movies. This 2-disc edition was packed with awesome bonus features and great picture and sound!

    Toys come to life

    Andy's toys live a reasonable life of fun and peace, their only worries are birthdays and Christmases, when new toys could easily replace those already there. One such birthday Andy's top toy, Woody the cowboy, finds himself in direct competition with Andy's new Buzz Lightyear doll. When rivalries boil over Woody tries to hide Buzz down the side of the bed but accidentally pushes him out the window, the other tops expel Woody, and he leaves with no choice but to find Buzz and return him to the house. But with only two days before Andy moves house, time is of the essence. Given how often the same mix of animation, wit, jokes and kids humour has been used since Toy Story (Ice Age, Monsters Inc, Bugs Life) it is easy to forget how refreshing it was when it first came out.     No Brainer!

    If you're wondering whether you should purchase this DVD, I'll make it simple for you - DO IT! This is a classic, all time favorite! No one in my house ever groans when someone else suggests watching Toy Story. All of the characters inspire imaginative play and creativity. The story is unbeatable, the graphics, the humor, everything. It's great to see how much my son looks up to Buzz and wants to be a Space Ranger. It has helped to motivate him in many aspects of his life, from school, to using good manners, making good choices, etc. etc.

    I, being 30, love it. My 2 year old thinks it's okay.

    from the first time i say this movie i was in love with it. i loved the characters, i loved the plot. it kept me laughing and wanting more and it still does. i had hoped it would have the same effect on my 22 month old son, granted he is young, and we don't like him to watch too much t.v. or movies, but sometimes it is nice when you are cooking to help entertain them. anyway.. he just really wasn't into it.. to my disappointment. he will watch 15 minutes sitting on my lap and he is done, let's go play, unlike the one movie he does like disney's robin hood, which he would watch daily if we let him. i am hopeful that as he gets older though that he will grow to love it as i do, he is a bit young to appreciate some of the humor in it.
