About this product

Product Information

For years Ma-Ma had warned all her kooky Addams Family relatives that a UFO was coming to invade the city. She was so paranoid and convinced about this alien invasion, using her crystal ball she cast a protective spell on the Addams house, masking any signs of life forms living within. While moonbathing one night, Uncle Fester saw the aliens descend from the heavens and beam up all of the town's citizens save the Addams Family. Ma-Ma's spell had worked. Armed with his gun and his wits, Fester took it upon himself to set out and rescue all of the townspeople.

As Uncle Fester you must walk the streets, underground sewers, and various buildings, shooting aliens with your gun and attacking them with your whip. While on your quest, you'll visit seven different houses, each house inhabited by a member of your family. Upon admission, you'll receive an item such as a weapon or a potion to restore your health. Weapons include TNT, vice grips, invisible potion, missiles, and a noose. To enter the buildings, you'll need a key. Inside each building lies in wait an alien boss waiting to destroy you. The game is over when you have traversed all the levels and rescued all the townspeople, or when you run out of health energy.

    A childhood memory revived

I remembered this game and how much it terrified me as a kid and I just had to get another copy since back then I had sold mine to a local game store. All I can remember is seeing the label art which was already pretty scary and then the game play being just plain awful the guns are terrible until you've completely maxed it out and the enemies take a ton of hits to die and not only that, but you're left with no idea what to do or where to go; you're just dropped into the game and expected to know what to do. I'm really going to have my work cut out for me when I get this game. I intend to beat it when I get it no matter how long it takes. Regardless of how much of a bad reputation this game has, don't let that discourage you from buying it, it's certainly hard, but no impossible. Even if ...

  • Fester's Quest for Nintendo NES.

Voted one of the "worst" games around but I really liked it. Yes, it was a difficult game but if you take the time to figure it out it is really fun. I would definitely recommend using a QuickShot controller or one with "rapid fire" mode.

  • Fun retro game

I spent 25 years talking about this game. Finally got to play again. Frustrating, yes. Fun, yes. Exactly as I remember. I'm quite pleased. Works on Retron 2 console which is a NES copy.

  • 5 Star for the 2nd Worst game on NES.

This game is so horrible, it makes it a "Must Have!" For any NES fan. I rented this in the 80's with my lawn mowing money and all I remember is that my weekend was shot to Hell. I own it now, but for different reasons. It is second only to "Dr. Jekyl and Mr. Hyde," as the worst game for NES. It cannot be beaten without cheating, the storyline is horrific and it's a top view shooter with the occasional first person, confuse the Hell out of you, type vision. Also, it's hard as all get out and enemies take waaaaay too many shots to die. Being that it's so terrible, it's also quite rare. After playing a bit of decent games I think it's important to see the complete opposite end of the spectrum... How bad it was. Just to jog your memory as far as how much the 80's occasionally sucked ...
